Did you major in ingesting four dozen oysters as quickly as possible in college? Time to put that degree to use, kids.
With this year’s Kinetic silliness in our community’s rearview mirror, we look ahead to Humboldt’s other biggest event of the year. The 2014 Oyster Festival is a mere two weeks away. We mention it here because LoCO’s rockin’ radio colleagues over at KWPT The Point will once again stage the gross out that is the Shuck and Swallow Contest. For the yuck.
Who in Humboldt is ready to do unspeakable things to their stomach? The contest has room for five teams of two people — one swallower, one shucker. If you’d like to be considered for a slot — seriously, why? — get a hold of DJ Carole Ann by emailing studio@kwpt.com or call 786-5978, you foolish people.
