Saturday, May 11, 2013's Lowdown

Oh, and you thought the Arcata bar scene was a zoo? (<-- oof!)

For those of you that want to simultaneously experience the fuzzy and the fizzy, you're in luck! Saturday sees the return of Brew at the Zoo, the Sequoia Park Zoo's annual fundraiser pairing beers from regional breweries with close encounters of the animal kind. In addition to the brews, food and dancing to music provided by Asha Nan and Mojo Brown, tipsy zoo goers will have the chance -- this is gotta be the big selling point, right? -- to hand-feed the zoo's red pandas. Just don't give 'em anything habit forming.

For your other less sudsy Saturday options, explore your Lowdown below.
