Cooper Gulch Clean-up

The City of Eureka and the California Conservation Corps’ Watershed Stewards Project are teaming up to clean up Cooper Gulch Park during the 7th annual Eureka May Day Community Cleanup Event on Saturday May 11th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This stream restoration project aims to remove invasive plants, enhance an existing trail, and stabilize an eroding bank by planting willow sprigs. Volunteers will meet at the Cooper Gulch parking lot at 9 a.m. and should wear closed toed shoes and bring drinking water. Snacks and coffee will be provided, as well as a volunteer appreciation barbecue with a drawing and live music beginning at 3 p.m. at the C Street Plaza!
