Wednesday Lowdown: Black Market Trust! Jane Doe in Wonderland! Sci-Fi Pint and Pizza Night!

Your Humboldt Wednesday features an Arcata Playhouse performance by Black Market Trust, "an American pop/vocal jazz band who combine the sounds of the great American crooners and vocal groups with the romantic Eastern European fire and energy of gypsy jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt." Sample their harmonies above.

Down at the Ferndale Repertory Theatre, local anti-sex trafficking organization Game Over will again stage their original work Jane Doe in Wonderland, a look at how young men and women are lured into the world of sex trafficking. The performance will be followed by a survivor "talkback." The play's creators, Erin Johnston, Grace Booth and Kate Tobie, recently stopped by KHUM and spoke with Bayley Brown about the play. Listen below.

And finally, it's Sci-Fi Pint and Pizza Night at the Arcata Theatre Lounge. Is the trailer for Laserblast (1978) ridiculous? Yes it is! Watch that below and/or find other fare in your Lowdown listings farther down.  --AG
