Wednesday, Jan. 29's Lowdown

Lots going on in LoCO world today, so we're just going to briefly highlight the two highest profile musical offerings, both taking place in Arcata. Are you looking for something up? Or do you wanna keep it low key? You can scratch either of those itches people:

  • UP: Get on up, Humboldt. The California Honeydrops will peddle their gospel-tinged soul/R&B within the sacred walls of HumBrews. Sample their mini-big band sound in the clip above.
  • DOWN: Mellow on out, Humboldt. The Arcata Playhouse will play host to stark American soundscape creator Jeffrey Foucalt. Consume his tasteful folky blues/country stylings (in YouTube form) below.

Oh, also there's a twerk contest at Blue Lake Casino. It's your Wednesday. Do what thou wilt.
