Wonderful Wetlands!
Celebrate summer with friends and family. Bring a picnic (and your rubber boots!) out to the refuge for the afternoon. Explore the wetland habitats of southern Humboldt Bay through fun, hands-on science activities, arts and crafts. Dip net in the pond and take a closer look at what you find. Learn to draw a fish and make a rubbing of a wetland plant.
"Cattails in the Meadow", an award winning quilt made by Wanda Vaughn, will be on display in the Visitor Center. This beautiful quilt received the Volunteers Choice award at the Heart of the Redwood Quilt Show at Redwood Acres in July.
