Set in 1936, the play follows Broadway star William Gillette, world-renowned for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes. Gillette invites his fellow cast members to his opulent Connecticut mansion for a Christmas Eve celebration. However, the festive mood turns deadly when one of the guests is murdered! With a killer on the loose and everyone a suspect, Gillette channels his inner Holmes to crack the case — but with each clue, things only get zanier. Can our hero solve the mystery, or will the murderer make their grand escape?
"The Game’s Afoot” delivers razor-sharp wit, physical comedy, and an abundance of suspicious characters, making it a treat for lovers of both mystery and farce. Winner of the Edgar Award for Best Play, Ludwig’s fast-paced script guarantees a night of laughter, suspense, and unexpected surprises.
If you wear an ugly holiday sweater or dress like Sherlock Holmes, you get a free holiday treat!
