Hear four of Humboldt’s most dynamic poets in performance. David Holper, Vanessa Vrtiak, Therese Fitzmaurice, and Anne Fricke. David Holper is the first Poet Laureate of Humboldt County! Anne Fricke is an author, poet, podcaster, wife, mother, storyteller and aspiring campfire musician. Vanessa Vrtiak uses poetry to promote social activism and is the slammaster of the Humboldt Poetry Show. Therese Fitzmaurice recently published her fourth collection of poetry, How to Love this Woman (Feb. 2016). Her work explores the inner landscape of a life lived contemplating the intersection of spirit & flesh, individual & tribe, offering & receiving.
