Pull Stream-Choking Reed Canary Grass at Janes Creek

The City of Arcata’s Environmental Services Department invites you to help clear invasive reed canary grass from Janes Creek on Saturday, August 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. near Creative Mathematics at 4001 West End Road, approximately ½ mile northeast of the St. Louis Road roundabout. Look for the volunteer work day signs along the road. Everyone’s welcome! Participants will be provided with tools, beverages and snacks.
