Play Lab Scores
3rd Sundays of the month * September 15 * 5:30-8 pm
Join us for body movement improvisation on the third Sunday of each month. Bring ideas and your body. Arrive within the first half hour if you want to collaborate on what “score” we will practice for the evening or arrive and leave anytime. Wear comfortable clothing to move on the floor and potentially with other bodies (if you want). Observers are welcome too and there are ways to participate without moving your body.
If you have a body related skill or activity you’d like to practice leading we can start with that as a warm up before choosing the score together. We will practice the score from 6-7:30. There will be time in the last 30 minutes (7:30-8) for a tiny Contact Improvisation “jam” (no structure or prompts) for those who want to stay or join for that.
This is not a Contact Improv class. For learning and understanding of the Contact Improvisation form locally there are classes held at Synapsis in Eureka.
This play lab is for people who are familiar with Contact Improv and for people that aren’t and come from a diversity of backgrounds. Some desire to express or interact with others through body language would be awesome.
