Josephine Johnson
It’s been five years since Josephine Johnson performed in Humboldt County—now, she’s back for two Arcata performances featuring music from her two most recent albums. On Thursday, September 29, Johnson performs at Septentrio Winery, and again Saturday, October 1, at Redwood Curtain Brewing. Drummer Jay Forbes (Strix Vega, Money) joins both nights along with more musical guests.
A 2007 Cal Poly graduate, Johnson now lives on the east coast where she performs regularly at venues in North Georgia and along the coast from South Carolina to North Florida. Her 2021 release “Double High Five” received praise from American and European critics alike.
“I’m extremely excited to come home to the North Coast and visit friends and family I haven’t seen since before the pandemic,” said Johnson. “Plus, I have new music that Humboldt fans haven’t heard and am beyond thrilled to share these new songs with people I have dearly missed.”
