Eastern European & Greek Festival
Saint Innocent Orthodox Church will host its annual Eastern European & Greek festival, Taste of Orthodoxy. This celebration of central and eastern European culture through food, music, and dance will be held Saturday, October 12, from 12 - 4 p.m. at 939 F Street, Eureka. There will be an array of cultural delights, from traditional Eastern European and Greek food and drink to the lively tunes by the international folk band and local favorite, Chubritza. Notable attractions include the 4th of July Gyro Booth, a full bar with imported spirits, delicious Eastern European foods, and the enchanting Russian tea room serving international delicacies. At 2 p.m. a Byzantine choir performance will complement a guided tour of the temple, which stands as the oldest church building in Eureka, constructed in 1883. All are invited to join the festivities!
