Gala Events & Weddings presents the: DIY WEDDING PLANNING WORKSHOP SERIES!!! Wedding Stationery & Stamp Carving with Just My Type Letterpress Tuesday, April 8, 2014 6PM - 8PM LOCATION: Just My Type Studio (must register for directions) COST: $35 in-advance / $40 day-of ** WORKSHOP LIMITED TO 10 PARTICIPANTS. REGISTER AT: http://diystationery.bpt.me/ WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: Learn all about wedding stationery and carve your own rubber stamp in this hands-on workshop with Lynn Jones of Just My Type Letterpress & Illustration. Attendees will each get their own stamp making kit, a finished stamp and lots of information on wedding paper and printing. Attendees should come prepared with a small image that they would like to turn into a rubber stamp. (Think: a decorative motif, a monogram, a return address…) This workshop will take place in the Just My Type printing studio in Blue Lake, and is limited to 10 participants. YOU WILL LEARN: 1. How to build anticipation for your event with stationery. 2. Timelines for ordering, printing, and sending wedding stationery. 3. The steps of designing and printing with a Letterpress. 4. How to design and carve your own rubber stamp. 5. How to use stamp carving tools. Light Refreshments provided.
