Women and Girls Birdwatching Trip

Join Redwood Region Audubon Society’s Women and Girls’ bird walk on Saturday, July 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Dry Lagoon. Trip leader Kate Rowe will lead a walk along a gorgeous stretch of beach where brown pelicans, double-crested cormorants, and oystercatchers are frequently seen. Along the Lagoon is a marshy area where we may see sparrows, blackbirds, and many songbird species. Elk, harriers, and peregrine falcons may also be present. Meet in the Dry Lagoon parking lot (41.222585, -124.108113), just like any Humboldt day, dress for windy or warm, foggy or sunny conditions!
