Whitethorn School Pints For Non-Profits Fundraiser
Please join Friends Of Whitethorn Elementary School (FOWES) on Thursday, March 9 from 4-6 pm for a “Pints for Non Profit” event at Gyppo Ale Mill in Shelter Cove.
Between the hours of 4 and 6 pm, on March 9, Gyppo will give one dollar of each beer purchased, to FOWES. Gyppo will also give a $60 gift certificate to FOWES to be auctioned off during the event.
FOWES is a parent teacher organization that promotes communication and cultivates a sense of community between parents, students and faculty through monthly meetings and school-based family engagement activities (movie nights, bbq’s, Earth Day celebration, and so on.) FOWES works to enhance the educational environment of Whitethorn School through supporting teachers and students by raising funds for educational materials, field trips, the reading program, and classroom supplies. FOWES organizes fundraising events to collect funds for enrichment programs for the children and families such as dance, expressive arts, martial arts, primitive technology, poetry, and field trips. We provide special activities for the children including field day, Halloween carnival, back to school bbq, and graduation.
