Tsunamis and other waves
Troy Nicolini with the National Weather Service will present information
to help you survive if a tsunami strikes while you are on the water in your
kayak or boat. He will also share personal research regarding waves and
erosion around Humboldt Bay. Troy has been with the National Weather
Service office in Eureka for 25 years where he has led research on wave
forecasting models and has worked to improve the region’s readiness
for tsunamis.
