As we close in on the shortest day of the celestial year, may we gather in movement once again.
The Thing is very proud to present our final all night extravaganza of the year, a special performance by Noetik The Alchemist and Yohm. They will accompanied by live dance performances, visual effects and candlelit décor sure to invoke a deep sense of warmth on this winter night.
Yohm began the journey as a DJ in the year 2000 playing vinyl reggae,funk and hip hop records.Over the years his sound has evolved into a blend of world influenced fusion beats with thick bass drops.Known for playing remixes of classic tunes and medicine bass, with an ability to adapt his sound to fit most dance floors. Yohm (pronounced like Yo and Ohm) is a combination of Yosef's birthname and one of the most healing sounds on Earth.
Alchemical beat maker, DJ and instrumentalist, Noetik, brings a culture fused in deep, lush, break beat atmosphere. Painting landscapes with rich sonic tones and textures of fine recordings with a mixture of percussive originality. Influenced through indigenous roots, tribal bass, grime, neo soul and turntablism, he invokes a unique and hypnotic experience while delivering deep alchemical sound waves to the dance floor.
December 17th, 2022 is sure to be one of the sauciest dance parties in The Thing's history and we could not be more excited to share the experience with everyone. There will be live painters, herbal delights, belly dancing, visual displays, tea, squish, connection and experience.
