Syrian Refugees: Escaping the Horrors of War

Panel discussion: The War in Syria, Saturday, April 15, 7pm, at the Humboldt Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 24 Fellowship Way, Bayside (off Jacoby Creek Road). 5 million Syrians have fled Syria’s Civil War. The US has played a small part in relocating and resettling refugees. There is concern that this meager US involvement will stop. The escalation of internal actions and the US response increases the need for understanding the Syrian situation, how we can help and respond. Panel: Leena Dallasheh, HSU Department of History; Sierra Leash, Activist, Activist, Humanwire; Ann Braak Katz, Activist, Refugee Support. Info: HUUF 822-3793
