On the weekend of June 3rd and 4th, the Mateel Community Center presents the 41st anual Summer Arts & Music Festival at Benbow Lake State Recreation Area in Garberville, CA. Voted“Best Music Festival in Humboldt County” by North Coast Journal readers in 2015 & 2016, and “One of 15 Tranformational Festivals to Attend in 2015” by Fest300 Magazine, the Summer Arts & Music Festival has been a favorite of Humboldt audiences for more than four decades!
Featuring more than 100 unique performances by eclectic entertainers on 4+ stages, the 2017 event will showcase a diverse array of local to international talent including musical headliners…. Easy Star All Stars, Locos Por Juana, The Brothers Comatose, Carolyn Wonderland, Jah9 & The Dub Treatment, La Inedita, Dustin Thomas, The Zydeco Flames, Durand Jones & The Indications, Elektric Voodoo, Wicklow Atwater, Candelaria, Soul Ska, Hot October, and Joanne Rand, along with the best of our local and regional talent scene- plus more than 150 handmade craft, food, and non-profit vendor booths; a lively kid zone, all-media fine arts showcase, Belly Dance Temple, SummerTronica Tent, Generation Green Dome and beyond… all set upon a backdrop of ancient redwoods and the majestic Eel River!!!
