An engaging two-person play addressing topics of solitary confinement and the unjust treatment prisoners endure during their incarceration. The play revolves around Charlie Hinton’s experiences from his visit to the Pelican Bay State Prison, located in Crescent City California. The show is centered on the character Otis Washington, played by Fred Johnson, who is a 64 year-old inmate who has been imprisoned for over 40 years. Hinton also performing in the play himself, used Washington’s story to convey the voice for prisoners not only at the Pelican Bay State Prison, but for all of those facing unjust treatment.
