Pat (Lily Tomlin) and Vance Kramer (Charles Grodin) are living the American Dream. Vance goes to work while Pat stays home and raises their children in suburban California. But when Pat is poisoned by chemicals in consumer products, she shrinks to a miniature size and gets exploited by the media and a corporation that wants to use her situation for evil.
