Samba Drumming and Dance Drop In Classes
Drop-in classes 3:30 - 6pm Sundays at 1301 D St Arcata, D St Neighborhood Center
Drums and instruction provided. All levels welcome and encouraged!
3:30-4:45: Open drop-in all levels drumming
5:00-6:00: Open drop-in all levels drumming AND dance
Each class is $10-20 sliding scale
Dance portion will be led by Samba da Alegria dance director Hayley Brick and will be an opportunity for dancers to learn fundamental samba movement. Working on connecting movement to the music rather than focusing on specific choreographed sequences. Children accompanied by an adult are welcome to join in the fun of moving their bodies to the music!
