The Pacific Northwest's favorite rowdy blue grass band Hillstomp will be playing at Humbrews Friday, December 16, with locals Hill Honey & The Wildcats... a true crunchy western experience. Show starts at 8pm!
Description:
Hillstomp sounds like a boom box blasting from a shopping cart. Two madmen have strapped an engine to the cart and it’s too big and running too hot. They've stocked the cart with banjos and guitars, buckets and car parts, and a megaphone and they are hurtling towards a blown out bridge while the bad front wheel flaps manically.
The fools think they can jump the bridge and land safely on the other side. They are very wrong but no one has told them because...well, they just seem so happy. And there you are, bouncing alongside them and deep down you hope they make it.
Hill Honey & the Wildcats is a seven piece, female fronted acoustic ensemble, based in Southern Humboldt. This fun loving group of friends are sure to make your wild honey flow with their fun, engaging harmonies and wild spirits. The band performs a selection of both covers and original songs, with musical roots in classic bluegrass and 20’s swing jazz. They have coined their genre as crunchy western. These tempestuous Wildcats will get your boots stomping and hearts thumping! Meow!
