Rodrigo y Gabriela
Grammy-winning duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, influenced by classic rock, heavy metal, and flamenco, began busking in Dublin after their first band dissolved, catching the attention of Damien Rice who invited them to open for him. Their 2002 debut album, "re-Foc," marked the start of their acclaimed career, with highlights including collaborations like 2012's "Area 52" with a Cuban orchestra and 2014's "9 Dead Alive." Their 2020 Grammy win for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album with "Mettavolution" solidified their global acclaim. They've performed at prestigious venues like The White House, Glastonbury, and the Hollywood Bowl, and in cities such as Tokyo and Paris. In 2023, they released their most ambitious project yet, "In Between Thoughts...A New World," featuring their dual guitar style with a full orchestra, along with a corresponding world tour.
