Renewable Energy In Humboldt County
Michael Winkler, Redwood Coast Energy Authority vice chair, speak at a July public forum hosted by Northcoast Mensa. His talk is titled" Sustainable Energy Inter-dependence for Humboldt County." The event will begin at noon July 28 at the Samoa Cookhouse. Lunch is no-host. Winkler, who is an Arcata City Council member, will have time for questions after his presentation. He was first elected to the council in 2008 and served as mayor in 2012 and 2015, He came to Arcata in 1997 to earn a second degree in Environmental Resources Engineering at HSU and to work as an Energy Research Engineer at HSU's Schatz Energy Research Center. Before that he worked for 25 years as an engineer in the electronics industry in Chicago and in the San Francisco Bay Area.
