Punch Needle Embroidery with Local Artist Chelsee Harris
This is an introductory course to punch needle, a trendy form of embroidery. A craft perfect for decorative wall hangings, pillows, rugs, and so much more. In this class, students will learn how to construct a frame out of household objects for securing their fabric foundation as well as, efficient techniques in handling their punch needle tool. All students will take home their own adjustable punch needle tool, frame, project, and knowledge about this upcycled fiber art in order to continue their crafting at home. Chelsee Harris is a local painter, fiber artist, and HSU alumni. She finds it important to show that high-quality art can be made with thrift or discarded materials.
