Come to the Arcata Playhouse and see the unveiling of our giant 16 foot tall Pink Polka-dot Peg-legged Pony pull toy.
This whimsical public sculpture will begin at the Playhouse and then roll to downtown Arcata and move around the
Plaza with live music and merriment. The procession will then return to the Playhouse for treats and
a short Pink Pony ceremony.
The sculpture is created by local visual artist Lush Newton with engineering assistance from James Hildebrandt
and is sponsored by Playhouse and the Creamery District with support from the California Arts Council,
Holly Yashi Jewelry, Arts Center and McKinney’s Do It Best Building Center.
The Pony will be on display in Holly Yashi’s parking lot on 9th Street during Valentine’s Day, February 14, weather permitting.
