Playhouse Mardi Gras Ball
The Arcata Playhouse is hosting a Mardi Gras Ball fundraiser that will feature local favorites the Cajun flavored Bayou Swamis and raucous horn ensemble Bandamonium. Come early for the Mardi Gras Parade and the crowning of the king and queen with mask making at the event. There will be prizes for Best Mask, Best Costume and Best Dancers. Playhouse members are free! You can sample some Creole and Cajun food like Muffulettas sandwiches, dirty rice with red beans and King Cake as well as authentic Mardi Gras drinks like the Hurricane and The Red Rooster.
