Get ready to slop, drop and roll…up to Septentrio Winery with your fun-loving pals for Papaya Lounge Rumble Royale II: Sloppy Seconds. After last year’s Rumble, Humboldt asked for another serving of delicious partying and so the juicy and alluring Papaya crew is coming back with two special evenings of unhallowed good times (as long as you are 21 +). The wine-oed shindig begins April 21 & 22 at 7:30 pm at Septentrio Winery in Arcata. Doors open at 6 pm with pre-show prancing beats by DJ Dry Hump starting at 6:30 pm. Food by the Nosh will be available to chow before and during the show.
What is the Rumble Royale? It’s the most ruckus of smackdowns rolled up like a weird lil’ sausage encased in a live show where “Pee-wee’s Playhouse” meets “Absolutely Fabulous”.
You might know The Papaya Lounge as a fresh, innovative, and blatantly naughty cabaret. The annual sold-out Papaya shows feature some of Humboldt’s finest performers and guest artists from around the world. During the Rumble, The Papaya Lounge takes over Septentrio and the audience is invited to partake in bizarre and, let’s use the word “titillating”, games. The ultimate winner takes home the Rumble trophy and the rest of the losers have glorious memories that will last for the rest of their loser lifetimes. Come and sideline while sipping vino or release your inner gladiating glory-holiness in a night that promises to be unlike anything you’ve likely seen.
