Panel Presentation on County General Plan
The League of Women Voters of Humboldt County will present two panels to review the Humboldt County General Plan update process. The public is invited to attend. The first panel will meet on Sunday, March 19th, at 2:00 pm at the Wharfinger Building in Eureka and will focus on the efforts by the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors to pass a general plan update. The history and goals of a General Plan, as well as how the process has bogged down in Humboldt for over 15 years, will be discussed by Tina Christensen, Jill Duffy, Mary Gearheart, Jennifer Kalt, Mel Krebs, Mark Lovelace, and Dennis Mayo. At the end of their discussion, questions will be accepted from the audience.
