Your Humboldt Tuesday will be enhanced by a playful, funk battle at HumBrews where the winner will be your ears and possibly yo' ass.
- In this corner, Los Angeles-based Afro-disco army Orgone. Fronted by powerhouse lead singer Adryon de León, the group will jab its brand of raw soul at Arcata until it goes down for the 10-count (see below).
- In this corner, San Francisco-birthed psychedelic funk gang Monophonics. Featuring the strained vocals of keyboardist Kelly Finnigan, the band will throw heavyfunky haymakers at us Humboldtians 'til we beg for mercy (see below).
Who will escape Tuesday night still standing? Well, if it's you, you didn't dance hard enough. Try again, rookie.
