Memorial Day Weekend Wine Tasting
Please join Whitethorn Winery and Sanctuary Forest for our Memorial Day Weekend Wine Tasting! The event will be held on May 28th and 29th from 1-5 p.m. at Whitethorn Winery, and proceeds will help support Sanctuary Forest’s work to conserve key tributaries to the Mattole River headwaters and restore healthy summer streamflows for fish, wildlife, and our community.This spring’s tasting will feature Whitethorn Winery's most anticipated release: 2013 Light Vineyards Chardonnay! Made with organically grown grapes, and fermented in neutral barrels this is truly chardonnay at its finest! In addition, Whitethorn Winery will be releasing their first vintage from Lost Coast Vineyards! The furthest vineyard to the west in North America, grown miles from the mouth and produced in the headwaters—the 2013 Lost Coast Vineyards Pinot Noir! Local whitefish and organic sausages with delicious homemade sides will be available for purchase. Come to the beautiful Mattole River valley and support Sanctuary Forest while relishing some of Whitethorn Winery’s finest releases of chardonnay and pinot noir. Good wine, good food and good company—all for a good cause!
