Make Me Laugh!: Vice and Virtue Edition
Come one! Come All! Humboldt's most ludicrous and hilarious mostly ripped off live stand-up comedy game show is revamped and retooled for 2015! Make Me Laugh! is bigger, better, faster, stronger, and we’re moving on up to the Arcata Playhouse! Now that’s impressive! If you haven't seen the show, it's simple. We bring audience members on stage one at a time and give our comedians each 60 seconds to make that contestant laugh. Those who hold out the longest get ridiculously fabulous prizes! (Well, they're ridiculous.) Think you have what it takes to hold out? Want to watch other people try? Come out and play! All ages are welcome, but be warned, we tend to use the same language you might use when you drop something really heavy on your foot – it is comedy, after all. This month Bay Area comedians Brandon Stokes, Luke Lockfeld, and Charles Kelly are going up against defending champion, Mr. Humboldt himself, John McClurg. Hosted by Tony Persico and Talvi Fried, it is a night of full of comedy, games, music, mayhem, and a whole ton of fun! Doors open at 8pm and it is only $10 to come experience the wildest ride in comedy. That’s less than $2 a comedian – how could you possibly go wrong? By not coming, that’s how!
