Mad Lab: An Evening of Works-In-Progress
A bubbling brew of experimental work by Dell’Arte alumni, featuring eccentric oddball characters and formulas for laughs galore. Meghan Frank (Dell’Arte Faculty; alumna 2012) and Janessa Johnsrude (Dell’Arte Staff; alumna 2013) present their piece Camel Camel in preparation for an international tour. Camel Camel brings the obscure works of Ukrainian poet, Oleg Navolska, and his surreal depiction of two grotesquely pulchritudinous sisters to life in a vaudeville revue. Emily Newton (alumna 2014) will perform an excerpt from her solo work featuring her character “Pat “ and Darci Fulcher (alumna 2014) will join Emily in a new piece called La Fenetre, a clown show that will tour to the Bay Area after the festival.
