Lecture and Book Signing by Jerry Rohde
Local historian Jerry Rohde published a new book, Both Sides of the Bluff: History of Humboldt County Places. The book traces the history of dozens of places in central Humboldt County, with separate chapters on Scotia, Rio Dell, Fortuna, Ferndale, Rohnerville, Hydesville, Cannibal Island, and twenty-five other communities. In celebration of the publication of the book, Booklegger and Eureka Books are co-sponsoring a free lecture at the Eureka Theater on November 1 at 5 p.m. followed by a book signing, as part of Arts Alive!
