Keep the Salt River Alive
On Saturday, October 24 from 10 am to 1 pm, you are invited to tour sections of the newly restored Salt River watershed. See the restoration project’s work firsthand, learn about its future goals and meet the organizations involved. The event will be held at the Ferndale Community Center at 100 South Berding Street. Lunch will be provided. Admission is free. Rain or shine. This event is sponsored by the Salt River Watershed Council and the Humboldt County Resource Conservation District. It is made possible by a grant from the Humboldt Area Foundation. Bus transportation to the tour sites is being provided by the Humboldt Transit Authority. The lunch is being provided by Humboldt Grassfed Beef and GHD consulting services.
