Journal Wild, a Writing Workshop

Come to the Eureka Library for a free journal-writing workshop with Susan Wooldridge, sponsored by Poets & Writers and the California Center for the Book. Whether you are a lifelong journal-keeper or just approaching the idea of writing a journal, this workshop is for you. Susan says, "In this workshop, we'll explore ways to free and expand the world of our journals so they become central in our writing life. We will write rich and wild journal entries that may become seminal to our stories, essays and poems." Susan Wooldridge is the author of poemcrazy: freeing your life with words, now in a 26th printing, and Foolsgold: Making Something from Nothing (and freeing your creative process) both published by Random House. Susan's books are loved by creative people of all sorts, and are used in places ranging from the Rhode Island Public Schools to Brown University and the Guggenheim Museum Curriculum online. Here is your chance to enjoy an evening of word-play and inspiration with this gifted poet, teacher, and author. She'll also give us a glimpse of the form and content of journals she has been keeping since she was 13 years old.
