'Old Town Eureka Now and Then'
Join us for another one-hour presentation presented by Jerry Rohde, author of Both Sides of the Bluff, about our life here in Humboldt County. Thanks to the sponsorship of Pierson Bulding Center, this talk is free! This particular talk will focus on Old Town Eureka: Now and Then and will feature dynamic and dramatic images. While many buildings of early day Eureka still remain, many others have been lost. We'll look at dozens of before and after images of the Eureka Waterfront, the infamous "Duece" - Second Street, and dynamic dwellings from houses to hotels. See what became of the sprawling Occidental Mill, the ornate Grand Hotel, the High Lead saloon and many other long-lost Eureka landmarks.
