Jacoby Creek Restoration Workday

Help protect local salmon habitat by pulling invasive plants with the Watershed Stewards Program and Jacoby Creek Land Trust! We will be removing species such as variegated mint, ornamental lilies, and Himalayan blackberry to restore native ecosystems. Volunteers will be provided gloves, tools, and lunch. Dress for the weather, and please wear long sleeved shirts, pants, and boots you can get muddy!

We will meet by the Jacoby Creek Land Trust office at 2182 Old Arcata Road, Bayside CA. To RSVP or for more information, please email kburnett@yuroktribe.nsn.us.

The Watershed Stewards Program (WSP) is dedicated to improving watershed health by actively engaging in restoration science, civic service, and community education while empowering the next generation of environmental stewards.

A program of the California Conservation Corps, WSP is one of the most productive programs for future employment in the environmental field. WSP is administered by California Volunteers, the Office of the Governor and sponsored by AmeriCorps and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
