Humboldt Domestic Violence Services
Eureka Woman’s Club September Program
Humboldt Domestic Violence
The Eureka Woman’s Club, a nonprofit service club, will be hosting a program on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 12:30 pm at the 1531 J Street Clubhouse. Members and guests are invited to bring their lunch and socialize with others before the program presentation.
Jasper Larkins and Emely Velez from Humboldt Domestic Violence Services (HDVS) will be speaking about their organization for our monthly program at 12:30 PM. HDVS has provided essential services to survivors of domestic violence (DV) and intimate partner violence (IPV), including survivors of sex and human trafficking in Humboldt County since 1977.
Founded on the basic principles of consensus-based empowerment and non-violence, they have continually expanded their services to assist all those living with or escaping abuse. They provide this through individual counseling, emergency shelter, and advocacy.
Their staff empowers people to move from a point of confusion to a point where they can see stability and safety in their future. Bring your lunch and socialize with us at noon before the presentation.
