Pests and Diseases in the Hive with a Focus on Fall Management” with Dick LaForge & Jeannine Kaprielian Dick Has been beekeeping for over 20 years in Humboldt County. Jeannine has been keeping bees for nine years. Dick has been teaching practical and advanced beekeeping at Humboldt State University for several years, Jeannine joined Dick as a co-instructor two years ago at HSU and is also working towards a Master Beekeeper certification at UC Davis. They will discuss honeybee diseases, pests and pathogens. There will be a focus on Fall management practices. This will be a great opportunity for beginning and advanced beekeepers to collaborate and discuss management options and methods to maintain healthy honeybee colonies.
