Hikshari’ Trail Tour
Humboldt Baykeeper and Hikshari’ Trail Stewards are sponsoring “Native vs. Non-Native Plants at the Edge of the Bay,” a free tour of Eureka's Hikshari’ Trail on Sunday, April 12, 1-3 p.m. Docent Susan Penn will share plants, ecology, and local history along a 3/4-mile section of this level trail. Meet the succulent pickleweed, the dreaded poison hemlock, and the cheerful seaside daisy. Thanks to the California Coastal Conservancy, our staff and docents lead bilingual tours in Spanish and English. Meet at 1 pm at the vista point at the end of Truesdale Street off south Broadway in Eureka.
