Studio 299 Center for the Arts 75 The Terrace Willow Creek, California 95563 PRESS RELEASE: September 2015 Harvest Festival and Open House The Willow Creek community is invited to celebrate the fall harvest season at Studio 299 on Saturday, September 12 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Presented in conjunction with Creekside Arts and Education, the Harvest Festival is a free all-ages event that will feature an open house for the opening of the gallery’s new art exhibition; local musicians providing live music; ideas for canning fruits and vegetables, including a variety of samples available; free face painting for kids of all ages; fresh apple cider pressing; and food, beer and wine available for purchase. This month’s gallery exhibit will feature work by three Willow Creek artists. Sharon Grover will display her quilts as well as her unique hand painted signs. Mediha Saliba will display her recycled artwork, and Gill Saliba will present his wood work, including his latest inlaid wood art. All three artists are active in Studio 299, serving on the Board of Directors. The community is invited to attend this free, fun event. It is a great opportunity to come together with friends and neighbors to celebrate the bounty we share in the Trinity River Valley. Stop by, enjoy the music and the art, snack on samples of fresh and canned local produce, have a glass of cider and/or purchase a lunch or beverage… it is all available at the Harvest Festival, Saturday September 12, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at Studio 299, 75 The Terrace in Willow Creek. Studio 299 is a non-profit community group devoted to the promotion and development of the arts and arts education in the Klamath and Trinity communities of Northern California. The gift shop offers a variety of unique hand-made works by local artists. The gallery and gift shop is located at 75 The Terrace in Willow Creek. Regular hours for the gallery and gift shop are Saturdays from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Completed in 2012, the multipurpose gallery offers an attractive location for the community to come together at monthly openings, open mike nights, and special events and during gallery hours. Creekside Arts and Education is a learning center associated with the Mattole Charter School, offering an enhanced alternative educational experience for their students and their families.
