Explore your family roots and community’s heritage through music, film, poetry, and dance! HAPI presents “Exploring Your Roots Arts Festival”, with performances touring and local artists whose music and films illuminates the histories, culture, and contributions of Pan-Asian and BIPOC performing artists. Humboldt Premiere of documentary “Many Moons” and talk by filmmaker Chisato Hughes. Concert by and workshop presentation on exploring your family and community roots through the arts by Julian Saporiti (“No-No Boy”). Performances by guitarist Hiroya Tsukumoto, singer-songwriter Aireene Espiritu & Color-Coded Symphony, Humboldt Taiko, Soul-A-Mente, Lansana Kouyate, Rachel Knowel, and many other artists!
