Going into it's second year we're bringing the party uptown to our friends in the north! (RIP NED STARK) In the past year we've had many amazing comics from all over perform including Kevin Avery (Totally Biased on FX) Bryan Cook (Erotic Fan Fiction) Dave Ross (WOMEN, Terrified ) Greg Edwards ( Thug Notes) and Vince Mancini (Filmdrunk.com) just to name a few and this special Arcata Theater Edition will be no different!

“An incalculable social benefit “ -Micheal Fox, SF Weekly

February's featured comics include...

-JOSH ANDROSKY / LA ( VICE magazine, The Price is Right)

Josh Androsky quit high school early to pursue his love of television. By 20, he was a full time writer. He wrote/produced FOX’s New Year’s Eve Live, Reality Remix, Current’s SuperNews, and other shitty shows he hopes you never google. At 23, Josh felt trapped, until he did his first open mic. Free of network notes from Business Majors, Josh thrived in the LA comedy scene. He started a show on the steps of City Hall, went viral eating shrooms/getting weird as The Skateboard Rabbi on The Price is Right, performed at SF Sketchfest, and contributes to VICE.

-CLARE O'KANE / LA ( SF SKETCHFEST, BLESSED )

Clare O’Kane is an actress and comedian from San Jose, California. Along with appearing in a myriad of kooky student films, Clare has also performed in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Bridgetown Comedy Festival, and SF Sketchfest. She recently toured the great United States of America with some of her buds on the Shitty Kisses Comedy Tour. She has been described as “sarcastic” and “half-Asian”. When she’s not sneezing or whatever, Clare travels around the country to perform stand-up comedy and “seize the day”. Clare hopes to get that tattooed on her for free someday. She currently lives in Los Angeles, California with a guy and a cat.

-JUSTIN GOMES / SF ( Sylvan Productions)

Justin Gomes is the “man in charge” at Sylvan Productions. In other words, he designed the logo. After studying theatre and linguistics on the cheap for many years, at many different community colleges, Justin was faced with a decision: Pay big money for a degree from a four year, or spend that money on real world production experience. So he dropped out of college and teamed up with high school comedy compatriot Andrew Moore, then reformed their young sketch comedy group Sylvan into Sylvan Productions.
Justin is an accomplished improviser and stand-up comedian. He has performed on stages all over the west coast, and has absolutely devastated audiences with laughter at both the Noisepop and San Francisco Comedy and Burrito festivals.

Along with local favorites:

-TONY PERSICO

Tony Persico has been called, “an odd guy,” and, “decent,” by some of the most respected comedians on the West Coast. With an intense personality and sometimes dark perspective, Tony covers everything from religion and politics to the frustrations of driving and being attacked by a public toilet. Tony performs regularly all over Humboldt County and semi-regularly in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was a part of the 2013 S.H.I.T.s and Giggles Festival and is a frequent contributor to Savage Henry Independent Times Magazine. In addition, Tony produces comedy shows in Humboldt County, bringing the best comedians from all over the West Coast and beyond behind the Redwood Curtain to make this place a little funnier. Tony also speaks 14 languages, but 13 of them are made up.

-IVY VASQUEZ

STARTED COMEDY ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO. FIRST TIME ON STAGE SHE OPENED FOR MELISSA VILLASENOR AND NEVER TURNED BACK! WITH BIG TITS COMES INTELLIGENCE AND BEING FUNNY. HOW CAN YOU DENY THE BIG TITS? I MEAN...HER HUMOR
