World Autism Awareness Event
April is World Autism Awareness Month! Starfish Hero, a North Coast locally owned and operated autism advocacy organization, is sponsoring a FREE event to mark the celebration of World Autism Awareness Month, an unprecedented global effort to heighten awareness about a disorder affecting millions of individuals and families around the world. The free event will be held on Sunday, April 6th in McKinleyville at Azalea Hall, Pierson Park (1608 Picket Road, McKinleyville) from 3:00pm – 5:00pm. Starfish Hero will be sponsoring the event to bring further awareness to our community and the families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders. The free festivities will include: snacks, a bounce house, games, arts & crafts, sensory activities, and Autism resources.
