Fore! The Community Golf Classic
The C.A.P.E. Fund and The Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation are hosting the 2nd Annual Fore! The Community Golf Classic, to be held at The Eureka Municipal Golf Course, Saturday, September 17, 2022, with a shotgun start at 8:30AM. Proceeds from this event will go to expand the capabilities of The Community Access Project for Eureka (C.A.P.E.), which provides access to quality of life programs and opportunities for all members of our community regardless of their living situation or income and The Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation, whose mission is to honor all of humanity by providing direct responses to immediate needs and helping the homeless achieve the dignity needed to return to society as contributing members. The efforts of this charity event will directly fund the following programs and resources: • The Betty Kwan Chinn Homeless Foundation Holiday Food Bag Program: Providing individuals and families with a holiday food bag during the Spring, November, and December holiday seasons. Any community member in need can sign up for this program. Volunteers then pack each bag with the necessary ingredients to make a holiday meal. Participants in this program include those who may not have access to a traditional kitchen. • C.A.P.E. Rapid Rehousing Program: Providing housing assistance for community members experiencing homelessness including securing permanent housing and financial assistance for move-in costs and ongoing rental assistance. • C.A.P.E. Holiday Programs: Our community’s most vulnerable children are provided with the opportunity to experience holiday merriment through programs such as the Halloween Costume Drive and the Winter Gift Program.
