First Year Playgroup (An Arcata Play Center Program)
Arcata Recreation Division with funding through a DHHS/First 5 ACEs Collaborative Partnership offers a new First Year Playgroup. A developmentally responsive play environment designed for children in the first year of life and their caregivers. Join us on Tuesdays from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. at the D Street Neighborhood Center, 1301 D Street in Arcata. Additionally, an Infant Focused Facilitator is available on Wednesdays at Arcata Play Center. The City of Arcata Recreation Division, with funding from First 5 Humboldt, offers a safe and comfortable place for families to meet, share and play. Bring your newborns and children up to five years old to the D Street Neighborhood Center, 1301 D Street in Arcata. Arcata Play Center meets weekly on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. (nutritious snacks offered), this is a year-round program.
