Explore North Coast Lecture Series
Explore North Coast invites the public to their free program featuring Member Night. The meeting is on Monday January 11 from 6 P.M. to 8P.M. at the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center, 921, Waterfront Drive, Eureka. Member Night will be a kayaking extravaganza of slide show presentations by members of their latest kayaking expeditions. Marcia Tauber will talk about her November kayaking trip with her husband, Simeon, in the Sea of Cortez between Loreto and La Paz. She will also show under-water photos from snorkeling with sea lions and whale sharks in La Paz. Michael Morris will be presenting slides from a trip out of Telegraph Cove, Vancouver Island, and encounters with Orcas and whales. He’ll also talk about a Cape Flattery trip, where four friends teamed up to explore the Washington coast, including the majestic and sublime Cape Flattery. Not to be outdone, John Day and Marcella Humphrey will briefly present some photos of their August 2014 kayaking trip of eight days, seven campsites and eighty miles from Port Hardy, Vancouver Island , around Cape Scot and south to the mouth of the St. Joseph River.
