Discover your World Heritage at Tall Trees
Saturday, July 15, 2017: a 3.5 hr. guided walk to the Tall Trees Grove. Explore local area and natural history; share the significance of this world heritage site; witness some of the tallest trees on earth! Obtain a Tall Trees permit at the Kuchel Visitor Center in Orick no later than 9:30 am. Visitor center opens at 9 am. There are a limited amount of these permits given on a daily basis, hence first come-first serve. The drive to the trail-head parking lot is approximately one hour, and includes six miles on a gravel road (NO low clearance vehicles, RVs or trailers please!). Tour begins at 10:30am and finishes around 2pm. Please bring comfortable walking shoes and a lunch. A lunch break will be taken on the Redwood Creek river bar at noon.
